Orchid studies in charcoal
flower and orchid shows arrive with spring...
I took a sketchpad to the orchid show at the botanical garden in the Bronx, NY.
I was kneeling down to draw the lady slipper orchids close and was aware of the many cameras and photo phones; felt out of time by a century. I also felt incredibly fortunate to have the time to practice art and just be in the moment.
