June's summer heat has arrived a few days early and the last of the irises are waving farewell!
Right now my garden has blue irises, heirloom pink and burgundy roses, fragrant white mock orange, and wild white roses. Have just planted pots of pastel petunias, sweet smelling herbs (lemon rose geranium, lime thyme, lemon basil), nasturtiums and Monet pansies. and my favorite pears to draw and paint (abate' fatel) are in season! have been busy planting, only time for brush drawings, and writing, hope to start painting again in a few days.
