Drawing exhibit Mantegna to Matisse: Master Drawings from the Courtauld at the Frick Museum

I saw an extraordinary exhibit of drawings yesterday at the Frick Museum, New York on loan from the Courtauld Institute, London. The Reubens drawing I am posting here is wonderful, and I found two Bruegel ink drawings that blew me away, Fair in Hoboken and Seascape with a View of Antwerp. I have not seen Bruegel's drawings before - the detail and mastery of line is amazing. In the Hoboken Fair each face (the size of a currant) is detailed and catches a multitude of characters and likenesses with economy of line. I would post examples here but could not find a clear 72 pixel image on the web. The exhibit will be there until January 27, 2013.
