Artists' Inner Critic and Seth Godin's post "Do you have three minutes?"

Inner Critic © Maud Guilfoyle
Seth Godin says it beautifully in his post "Fear is the enemy of creativity and innovation and of starting things. The resistance hates those things-they are risky, they might not work, so the resistance pushes us not to do them." He also mentions avoidance tools, which are more plentiful than ever. Among them are making lists. I have always loved making lists, and have often called them my artist's pencil sharpening activity. I think lists are harmless, as long as they function as a bridge and I move beyond them into action. If I incorporate drawing or quick sketches into them, somehow I am more empowered to  do this.
