Sadly, there is no shortcut! Just practice, practice, practice as my mother, Peregrine Higgins used to say in her classes. The good thing about drawing is that it is one of the few activities that you can master without expensive equipment, perfect weather or depending on anyone but yourself. And as Michelangelo said, it is a treasure that no one can steal from you.
