We could not access the ornaments this year. I precut squares of paper, 4 and 6" square and after Christmas Eve dinner, our family cut out snowflakes and hung them on the tree. Although I missed some of out handed down ornaments I must say this is one of the loveliest trees we have had. And it was great family time, everyone focused on designing snowflakes and sharing ideas.
