A friend gave me some steamed pumpkin from her garden that survived the recent icy weather. I added it to homemade chicken and kale soup for a perfect dinner.
Some years ago I went to an exhibit of paintings by Jamie Wyeth. There were some wonderful watercolors of pumpkins. Each one was so unique and beautiful. Ever since, when I buy pumpkins to paint I choose ones with curly untrimmed stems.
