Artists' Collections of Still Life Props

I remember seeing a beautiful exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York of work by Henri Matisse that featured his collection of fabrics. There were interiors, nudes on printed spreads, rooms with wallhangings, and marvelous cutouts. I felt validated as have an extensive collection of fabrics with all different patterns and textures, some pieces as small as a napkin.
